The Tigers Softball team handled business today beating Bucknell 8-0 in five innings. The softball tigers' record now improves to 6-0, scoring 73 runs in the Tiger Classic and only allowing two runs.

The team had a stifling defense behind Pitcher Shelbi Sunseri, and the defense blanked the Bisons.

The Tigers not only looked to their defense, but they also looked to their offense as they were explosive and powerful this weekend.

It was a huge weekend by the offense as they dismantled teams. Head Coach Beth Torina said this team was one for others to fear.

"It's scary when you get to the middle of the lineup as there is really no way around it," Torina said. It's tough to pitch around this lineup as all 1-9 hitters gave production in the game. Torina was happy with the team's output of runs against Bucknell.

"To have the lineup we have is special and nice to be able to relax knowing someone will pick up production." Senior Amanda Sanchez said.

Next week the Tigers travel to Florida for the Clearwater Elite Invitational. The girls hope to keep their offense going as they face the defending National Champions, Florida State.
