The LSU Tigers defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks in a tough five set match. The Tigers started off slow, losing the first set 21-25.

"I just think when we get into situations like that, a lot of that had to do with the things that we were doing on our side of the net," Head Coach Tonya Johnson said. "If we could have just controlled the ball better, especially the first contact, I think that set would've been a different set."

The Tigers picked up the momentum after dropping the first set, winning the next two back-to-back. The scores of all five matches were, 21-25, 25-18, 28-26, 21-25 and 15-13.

The Tigers are set to back on the Kentucky Wildcats in back-to-back games on the road this weekend.

"This game just showed what me and my team is capable of," Middle Blocker Anita Anwusi said. "We work on and off the court, in the weight room and on the court, so I feel like just showing that we can take down anybody it shows that the SEC better watch out."

The rest of the volleyball schedule is jam-packed with more SEC matches, after this weekend the Tigers are set to take on Ole Miss in two consecutive matches at home.
