Freshman on the LSU Football team have been stepping up this season. Freshman Garrett Nussmeier, one of the nation’s top quarterback prospects out of high school, hit the field late in the game against McNeese and completed 3 passes on 10 attempts for 19 yards in his college debut.
“Garrett brought a spark to us. I like Garrett. If I can play him, I will play him” Coach Orgeron said.
Freshman tight end, Jack Besh who came into LSU as a wide receiver has made his mark in this Tiger offense with 74 receiving yards on five receptions this season
While the tigers continue to find their rhythm in the run game, Coach O plans to use the freshman talent for the success of his offense.
It’s still early on in the season, but these freshmen have started strong and will be key to the success of the Tiger offense.
