Although the timing of the season is uncertain, the LSU football team is business as usual. The coaches are conducting team meetings on zoom and keeping on schedule with workouts and watching film.
"Very proud of our football team, the way we've maneuvered through this trying time," Coach Orgeron said in the press conference on Tuesday via zoom. Coach Moffitt and other assistant coaches are working for things to run smoothly for the players and coaches.
Many are unsure when or if the football season will start. Coach Orgeron is optimistic that they will at least start camp on time.
“I think we’re gonna have camp. I think that come August we should have camp. You have to have camp to get ready for the season,” Orgeron said. Summer practice may be a bit spotty but there is hope for a start to the season.
In terms of recruiting, they are finding ways to make connections with prospective players. “We have to trust our evaluation that we get on film,” Coach Orgeron said.
The season is set to start September 5th in Tiger Stadium. Updates to come.
