After defeating the Memphis Tigers 85-76 the LSU men's basketball team is now 3-0 on the season. Junior guard Skylar Mays led the way for his team by dominating on both the offense and defensive end and ending the night with 19 points.

Freshmen guard Ja'vonte Smart had this to say about Mays' stellar night,

"I haven't seen that in a while from Skylar so I'm happy for him," Smart said.

The freshmen standout didn't do too bad himself on offense ending his night with 13 points.

"I just had confidence in warming up and I just brought it to the game," Smart said.

Confidence was key for the Tigers' win, but freshman forward Emmitt Williams thanked the fans for an electric night.

"I love our crowd, I'm so blessed to be here at LSU," Williams said. "A lot of people usually think that this is just a football school, but we're actually bringing the crowd back for basketball, it was a packed gym tonight so I want to say thank you to everyone that came," Williams said.
