LSU announced Wednesday that beginning with Friday's home baseball game against Mississippi State, the school will allow tailgating with restrictions at outdoor spring athletic events.
Several guidelines have been made in accordance with Phase 3 to ensure that fans and tailgaters remain safe.
Gatherings must be limited to 15 people and face masks are required at all times. Parking lots will be secured and restricted starting at three hours prior to the event.
The school will also permit several items on campus and in surrounding parking lots. These include coolers, tables and chairs, grills, beverages, already-prepared food, audio systems inside vehicles and lawn games.
10x10 or smaller tents, canopies or structures of any kind will also be allowed. Larger structures are prohibited and will be removed.
Those traveling in motor homes will have to adhere to the same guidelines. Tailgaters must remain with their group and within the footprint of their motor home. Spaces are on a first come, first served basis, there will be no shuttles from the RV lot to the stadium provided.
There has been no decision on tailgating for fall athletic events.
