The LSU Baseball team was handed their 8th loss of the 2023 season as well as their second straight mid week matchup loss.
Nicholls State University went to Alex box and show up.
The purple and gold had a couple starters out for this game and it showed on offense and defense.
From the pitching to the errors made behind home plate the Tigers struggled all game.
Nicholls however was making impressive plays in the outfield. And ended the game against the number one team in the country with a 5-6 win.
The Bayou Bengals hope to not carry this into this weekend when they have their next SEC matchup against Alabama at Alex Box.
