The 2019 NCAA Baseball Regionals are currently hosted by LSU in Alex Box Stadium this Friday through Sunday.

Tonight, the Tigers took on Stony Brook in the first round. Coming in hot in the first inning Saul Garza cleared the bases with a 3-run, two out double to put the Tigers in an early lead of 4-1.

From then on, the Tigers piled on the clutch hits, with the runs to follow. Stony Brook was down and out early in the game, and never got back on their feet. With the final score being 17-3, the Tigers completely dominated.

Along with the Tiger Team victory, Antoine Duplantis achieved a personal victory. Duplantis tied the all-time school record of 352 hits with Dr. Eddy Furniss, and Brandt Broussard hit his first home-run while being a Tiger.

LSU will take on Southern Miss at 6 p.m. Saturday.
