LSU broke UCF's 25-game win streak New Year's Day with a 40-32 victory over the self-proclaimed 2017 National Champions.

QB Joe Burrow had the best game of his career, statistically, going 21 of 34 for 394 yards passing and four touchdowns. The Tigers' offense had a total of 555 yards rushing.

LB Devin White is eligible for the NFL Draft, but has not yet announced his plans for the 2019 season. Regardless, he said he had no doubts of playing in the bowl game. With seven defensive starters, and an additional with Grant Delpit's ejection for targeting, White and the rest of the defensive line had to make big gains to make up for lack of depth on the secondary.

DE Rashard Lawrence earned himself Defensive MVP of the Fiesta Bowl. While UCF is known for their speed and athletic offense, LSU's defensive line was able to shut down their run game.

LSU finishes the 2018 season 10-3.
