BREAKING: Terrace Marshall, Jr., opted out remainder of season

LSU has lost yet another star player, as wide receiver, Terrace Marshall, Jr., has opted out the remainder of the 2020 season.

Marshall tweeted a statement Sunday afternoon, thanking his family, teammates and coaches for the past three years. He closed his statement by declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft.

In seven games, Marshall recorded 48 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns. The yards and touchdowns currently rank third this season in the SEC.

Marshall's departure is another blow to the reigning national champions. Last season's Biletnikoff Award winner, Ja'Marr Chase, opted out prior to the start of the season. The team has also been without starting quarterback Myles Brennan due to injuries suffered against Missouri earlier this season.

The Tigers are set to play Alabama Saturday, December 5, at 7 p.m. in Death Valley.
