Pearson Jordan

Former LSU track and field player Pearson Jordan died at the age of 69 Saturday due to coronavirus.

He is one of two past LSU athletes to die from COVID-19 in two days. The two-star athletes were teammates.

Jordan was a Tiger from 1976-1979 and a part of the first LSU relay team to win a national championship. He was on an NCAA 4x400 champion relay team in 1979.

The track star competed for the island country of Barbados in the 1976 Summer Olympics. His event was the Men's 100 meters relay.
