The two found dead at an apartment near campus yesterday have been identified as 21-year-old Joy Gentil and 19-year-old Max Raymond. 

In a statement released by BRPD, the two were renting the apartment through an app rental service and it was through a cleaning service when the bodies were initially found. 

The coroner's office is currently working to determine the cause of death, but the police have said that there was no obvious signs of trauma.

Again, this investigation is on going and updates will continue to be posted. 


Investigators found two bodies inside an apartment on Highland Road Monday afternoon close to campus, according to Baton Rouge Police Department.

The Baton Rouge Police Department received a call around 1 p.m. The apartment is located between Aster Street and West Roosevelt Street.
