Meteorologists predict Tropical Storm Barry will hit south Louisiana hard. That’s why LSU has closed campus this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All classes, events and summer camps are cancelled.

The University Lab School and Preschool are also closed. In addition, The Union, UREC, Bookstore, Library, Student Health Center and all academic buildings will be closed.

LSU Dining Halls like The 5 will remain open on Friday, and LSU will ensure all students living on campus over the weekend have access to food. LSU is also advising these students to park their cars on high ground, as flash floods are expected. 

LSU PD is asking to help them keep the road clear by avoiding traveling to campus over the weekend. The university is stressing that the safety of students and faculty is their top priority.
