A new luxury RV resort that will sit adjacent to L'Auberge Casino is coming to the capital city in August.
Tiger's Trail RV resort will be a chance for a weekend getaway for LSU fans or parents visiting Baton Rouge as it is just 10 minutes from Tiger Stadium.
One of the owners of the resort Tommy Ramelli said he is excited for opening day and to see the resort come to life.
"There's a lot of beauty here in Baton Rouge, and we're right in the center of it, so we couldn't be happier," Ramelli said.
After not having a resort in the Baton Rouge area, the Louisiana Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds is looking forward to guests being able to enjoy Baton Rouge while staying at the resort.
The resort will feature 220 campsites and 10 cottage rentals. Amenities will include pickle ball courts, a resort-style swimming pool, lazy river and an outdoor bar.
It will also have a pond with kayak and paddle board rentals, fishing, two dog parks, a bathhouse, golf cart rentals and a walkway to the L'Auberge Casino.
Game day weekends are expected to be very busy at the resort during football season. The owners are currently in the process of planning various events and activities to celebrate the Tigers, including a transportation system for guests to use back and forth to the games.
"We know how much fun it is on campus, and we want our guests to be safe, so we will have some transportation for them to use on game days," Ramelli said.
There is still a lot of construction left, but the resort is taking reservations for their opening day in August. If you would like to get more information about the resort, you can visit tigerstrailrvresort.com.
