Parking has proven to be a bit of a problem for LSU students these first few weeks of school, leaving many students frustrated and making long treks to class.
LSU Transportation Demand Manager Josh Galasso has offered up a few tips and tricks on how to make parking for class a little easier.
"We encourage everyone who is parking on campus to come up with a parking plan and to review their schedule to know when they need to leave," Galasso said. "Study the interactive map that's available online and also through the LSU mobile app."
Biking using services like "Gotcha" and taking the Tiger Trails bus are also great ideas to cut time.
One of the best tips is to carpool with friends. LSU sophomores Hannah Elliot and Talyn Burgess-Jimenez say carpooling has been really helpful for them.
"With the new LSU parking, I've personally had a lot of trouble with parking at school," Elliott said. "But thankfully Talyn and I have been able to carpool together."
"It's been really great," Burgess-Jimenez said. "We get to spend more time together."
