For anyone staying on campus for Thanksgiving break, but doesn’t have a clue what to do about food, the Food Pantry has got you covered.
If the grocery story isn’t doable, the first floor of the Student Union is the best place to do your Turkey Day shopping.
The Food Pantry is free and easily accessible to students.
All you have to do is fill out the online request form and schedule a time to pick up the ingredients to the perfect home-away-from-home Thanksgiving.
With COVID, the Food Pantry is an even bigger resource to students, especially those staying in campus housing, who can’t get to the grocery store.
“In a time like this when a lot of students are contemplating staying on campus for Thanksgiving break because it gives students a sense of family and home in times where not having those people around you can be difficult, said Kiemi Brown-Rivers, LSU students.”
While the Food Pantry won’t be open on Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday, they’ll be in full operation on the days before and after.
Online requests to the Food Pantry are accepted from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.
