One month into the coronavirus sending all college students home, many questioned what will happen for summer school.

Some universities, including LSU, announced, the summer semester will be 100 percent online.

Many students wonder how they will be able to afford summer courses, especially if their parents have lost their jobs.

Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond decided to reduce the cost of school for the summer to less than $325 per credit hour.

A fourth-year communication major at Southeastern JohnMarie Bougere said, "I don't have to worry about an additional $500 or $1,000 and will relieve a lot of stress on my parents.

Southeastern's summer savings is open to all students, including incoming freshman and summer guest students.
