Yesterday started Black History Month, and this year Student Government will be celebrating throughout February with a campaign called 28 Days of Excellence.

For the next 28 days, Student Government will be recognizing and celebrating 28 influential Black figures.

In addition to the social media campaign, Student Government hosts a Black History Month block party on Feb. 17 with the Black LSU community.

Directors of Diversity for Student Government Devin Scott and Gabriel Watkins say they hope this will allow black students to feel represented and fit in on campus.

Student Government encourages all LSU students to engage and participate in these events. For more information about Black History Month, events check out Student Government's social media or website
