On March 12, 2020, LSU students received an email stating that due to COVID-19 concerns, they could move out of their residence halls and return home.
Many students took this opportunity and began packing up their belongings since they were offered a partial refund for their housing and meal plans if they moved out.
As more and more students are receiving the credit back, many wonder how do they get this money.
To see how much credit was received back, students must check their billing statement in myLSU under Financial Services. This credit will first be applied to any balance that is currently owed to the university.
Any credit remaining after that balance has been paid off can be refunded in the form of a direct deposit.
To receive the direct deposit students, have to email the Bursar’s Office at firstname.lastname@example.org, asking for the refund.
