We are fortunate to have students here at LSU from a variety of different countries from around the world. The international cultural center is planning a special event to celebrate other cultures while sharing a small taste of ours.
Killian Dumont, coordinator of International Student Engagement, spoke on why sharing the Thanksgiving tradition is so important.
“A lot of what we do is showcase of international diversity,” Dumont said. “Also, we want to bring American culture with our international students and introduce them that way.”
Groups like the Asian Student Union (ASU) and the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) are hosting these events, serving Thanksgiving dinner to those who can’t make it home this holiday. They will held on Nov. 20, 21 and 22.
“There is going to be all of the classics like turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans,” Dumont shares “anything you might expect at a Thanksgiving meal”
To attend the meal, RSVP to their email, on their socials, or on their website.
