If you’re looking for a fun way to get into the fall spirit or just looking to get outdoors and enjoy the lower temperatures, the LSU Botanic Gardens might be your new favorite hangout spot.
The Botanic Garden features numerous pet friendly walking trails, a children’s garden and play area, several photo worthy spots such as the sunflower fields and, starting this Saturday, they’ll be opening their corn maze.
News reporter Kyleigh Attaway met with the event coordinator for the Gardens, Katie Guitreau, to get the details.
“Our corn maze is very family friendly, it is almost a harvest celebration. We have our corn maze, we have a hay mountain, a zip line and face painting. This first one we do have story time as well. We have crafts for the kids to do, pumpkin decorating. We have a petting farm, hay rides, satsuma orchard, you can go pick some satsumas in our orchard," said Guitreau about the Botanic Gardens upcoming events. "Then that final Saturday is also the normal corn maze but on top of that we do our night maze which is a non scary halloween celebration,” continued Guitreau.
If you’re interested in visiting the Botanic Garden Corn maze it will be open every Saturday in October from 10-5. For more information about the LSU Botanic Garden, look them up on Instagram or Facebook.
