UREC facilities are closed, but instructors are now offering virtual classes for free through Zoom.
The LSU UREC closed March 16, along with the university in response to Governor John Bel Edwards's request to close all nonessential businesses to combat COVID-19.
Instructors are offering a variety of classes, including Zumba, Pilates, guided meditation and yoga, to help students maintain mental stability through the pandemic and transition to online courses.
No equipment is needed, and classes are accessible by computer or phone.
Individuals do not have to be members to participate in the classes offered.
