LSU student killed in single-vehicle crash

Pi Kappa Alpha at LSU has released a statement following the death of Andre Navarre.

The fraternity honored Navarre's contribution to the chapter as secretary and a part of new member education.

They also asked for prayers for both Navarre and their members grieving his loss.

The chapter is also matching any donations made to Navarre's funeral fund made to their Venmo (@lsu_pikes) through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Pi Kappa Alpha's Statement on Andre Navarre

A 21-year-old LSU student and Greek life member was killed in a crash on I-10 near Sorrento Friday, Oct. 2.

Louisiana State Police said Andre Navarre, a senior from Metairie, was killed when his vehicle ran off of the interstate and overturned.

Navarre, who was wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene of the single-vehicle wreck.

It is still unknown if impairment was a factor.

Navarre was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity on campus.
