On Wednesday, LSU released the game day guidelines and policies that fans must follow this football season.
Tiger Stadium is allowing fans to attend games, but only at 25% capacity. No single game tickets will be available at this time, but season ticket holders have until Sep. 11 to opt out of their tickets. Student tickets will be available and students will receive an email from LSU Athletics and Student Government soon. The student section will remain in the north end zone and students will be assigned seating to promote social distancing.
No one without a ticket is allowed on campus on game days. This also means that tailgating is prohibited on LSU's campus. Fans attending games are allowed to gather near their own vehicles in a small group.
In order to follow COVID-19 mitigation efforts, all fans are required to wear face coverings on campus and inside of Tiger Stadium along with following social distancing.
The famous Tiger Walk down "Victory Hill" with the football team and Tiger Band will not be held this season along with other pregame events that are popular among fans.
Inside of Tiger Stadium, hand sanitizer dispensers and hand washing stations will be available as well as additional staff to disinfect and clean the stadium.
"Doing this safely and smartly is our shared responsibility. It's important for this community, our school and our student-athletes. We're in this together and we are all excited to play football in Tiger Stadium with the greatest fans in America" Athletic Director Scott Woodward says.
LSU reminds all fans that the guidelines for the 2020 football season are subject to change at any time.
