LSU announced Tuesday that campus will remain closed until Sept. 7 in the wake of Hurricane Ida.

In the message to the campus community, LSU's Emergency Operations Center said the decision was made to allow students and employees time to recover from the storm's effects.

Residence halls will remain open, and information about dining on campus will be made available through LSU Dining's website and social media accounts.

LSU EOC also shared a link to the Student Emergency Support Fund, which allows students who have suffered extreme loss to apply for financial assistance through the university.

Changes to the academic calendar will be announced as soon as they become available.

Tiger TV will continue to keep students updated as more information regarding university responses to Hurricane Ida becomes available.
