Louisiana officially moving back to 'modified' phase 2

On Tuesday, Nov. 24 Governor John Bel Edwards announced that Louisiana will be going back to a modified version of phase 2.

This announcement comes after weeks of new Covid-19 case surges in every parish in the state.

This modified version includes restrictions such as: restaurants and other non-essential retail will be at 50% capacity, churches and places of worship will be allowed 75% capacity and sporting events will be allowed 25% capacity.

Bars in parishes below 5% of cases may be allowed to have 25% capacity whereas bars in parishes above 5% will only be allowed to have outdoor seating on patios.

This new phase will be signed on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and will not expire for 28 days.
