The gas prices in Baton Rouge are continuing to fall.
According to Gasbuddy .com, the price dropped an average of 7.8 cents this week. This has been the trend for the last 5 weeks across the area.
Petroleum Analyst, Patrick DeHaan, says the continuous price drop is caused by “oil’s longest losing streak in 34 years…”.
LSU Petroleum Engineering Instructor, Fred Thurber, says this price decrease is not necessarily a drop and is actually just settling down from a high.
On Sunday, November 11, local drivers paid an average of $2.33 a gallon.
