The SEC considers increasing consequences for storming the field.

The Southeastern Conference announced earlier this week that they are considering severe punishments for schools that allow fans to rush the field.

League commissioner Greg Sankey said they have considered increasing fines, forfeiting games and banning teams from potential bowl games.

LSU rushed the field twice this season against Ole Miss and Alabama. The school was fined $250,000 for each instance.

The SEC's announcement was met with massive backlash from fans all over the country.

"I think the SEC is trying to cancel fun," freshman Braden Fletcher said. "It's always going to happen. You're not going to be able to stop it."

A decision has not been made yet. The league will hold spring meetings at the end of May.
