Dance Marathon at LSU was held last Saturday, and despite having a limited number of participants, it was able to raise more than two hundred thousand dollars since COVID-19 arrived.
Dance Marathon is LSU’s largest student-led philanthropic organization on campus and raises money for Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital.
Dance Marathon events held over throughout the semester had to moved virtually and for the Big Event participants had to choose between going virtually or in person.
Vice President of Membership Collin Quijano says the structure of the events was changed to fit COVID-19 guidelines, but they were still able to have a successful event and hope it can be at 100 percent again in the future.
