The LSU Tigers and Southern University students are about to see a new form of transportation available around Baton Rouge.

A new bike share app called "Gotcha," is hitting the streets of the capital city May 8. According to a Tuesday news release, the E-bike company is going to launch 500 GPS enabled bikes at 50 hubs across the city.

To ride a bike, users need to download the app to locate and pay for the service.

The program was originally expected to be launched mid March but was postponed. Hotspots for mobility hubs will include downtown and around the college campuses.

Over the next two years, the company is expecting to expand 800 bikes at 80 hubs.
