Duplantis made history at the LSU Invitational with a 5.94 meter jump, earning an LSU school record, a facility record, a 2019 world lead, and the second-best mark in NCAA outdoor history.  He fell just short of a 6.01 meter jump to take the record.

The track team honored 24 graduating seniors during the meet.  While this invitational marks the end of the regular season, Duplantis and the rest of the Tigers aren’t done yet.

In two weeks they will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the SECs and then to Austin for the NCAA Outdoor Championship.
