#10 LSU defeated unranked Kentucky in the first game of their double header on Saturday. The first game was a makeup for the rained out game Friday night.
Junior pitcher Zach Hess pitched 118 balls before being switched out for sophomore Devin Fontenot.
The Tigers went into extra innings, finally bringing the score to 2-1 in the 12th inning when Giovanni DiGiacomo walked, bringing Zach Watson home to score.
The Tigers will finish out the double header on Saturday night, then take on Kentucky again Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Box.
