TJ Finley won the starting quarterback position vs. Auburn following an impressive win vs. South Carolina. However, the Auburn defense did not allow him to put up the same numbers.
Coach O replaced Finley with freshman Max Johnson in the third quarter after Auburn scored on each of Finley's three turnovers.
Johnson recorded 172 yards and one touchdown in the second half. Regardless of his strong debut, Coach O is definitive that Myles Brennan will remain the starting quarterback when healthy.
This is due to the freshmen's inexperience and the offensive line's inability to block long enough.
Brennan remains doubtful to face Alabama on November 14. The freshmen will return to fighting for the starting spot vs. the Crimson Tide.
