It's been 14 years since the release of the last main series Kingdom Hearts game. On January 25, the wait finally ended with the release on Kingdom Hearts III. Fans on the internet went nuts, but what did Louisiana State University students have to say?

The following are answers received from students in the Quad. Some responses have been trimmed for time.

TEXT: IN HONOR OF THE RELEASE OF KINGDOM HEARTS III, WE TOOK TO THE STREETS TO SEE WHAT LSU STUDENTS THINK.

Turner Bunch, General Studies major: I’ve known Kingdom Hearts for a few years of my life.

Victor Gaudet, English Literature Major: That used to be one of my favorite games. When I had time to really play it

Joshua Mayo, English Major: I grew up with it.

Unnamed Student: My boyfriend made me watch some YouTube videos on it- or we watched them together- so I know the basic just of it.

TEXT: IN YOUR OWN WORDS, WHAT IS KINGDOM HEARTS?

Austin David, Political Science/Philosophy Major: It’s a bit of a single-player mesh between anime and Disney characters.

Unnamed: It’s a fun Disney fantasy game where the hero goes on all these quests through different lands like Monster’s Inc. Land, Tangled Land…

TEXT: What Kingdom Hearts games have you played?

Gaudet: I’ve played Kingdom Hearts 365/2 Days, Re-Coded, and Dream Drop Distance

David: I’ve played the first and the second.

Bunch: Birth by Sleep

Mayo: My first Kingdom Hearts game was Chain of Memories. My favorite game is Dream Drop Distance.

Cristoval, Chemical Engineering major: I only played Kingdom Hearts 3 and that one game- like three-something and a half- (365/2)- yeah that one.

TEXT: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE NEW GAME?

ARE YOU PLAYING IT?  DO YOU WANT TO?

Gaudet: I have not played the new game yet but it seems like it’s really good.

Unnamed: (My boyfriend) is pretty obsessed with it right now, like he plays it all the time.

Mayo: The release date was like 2017 and they just kept pushing it back every year and people were getting really frustrated.

David: Eventually when it gets cheaper, yeah. Sixty dollars is a lot for a college student

Bunch: I plan to, I’m just waiting a little bit because you know, money.

TEXT: IF YOU COULD GIVE ADVICE TO THE DEVELOPERS, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Cristoval: I just looked at YouTube videos about the plot and it’s just really confusing.

Mayo: Don’t rush games. It’s better to take your time. Make sure you have everything right.

Bunch: Don’t make fans wait so long for a good game

David: Sell your stocks to me for cheap. Thank you.
