Andy’s Frozen Custard recently opened up on the corner of West Lee and Burbank, a short, 10 minute drive from campus.

It is a new chain of the frozen treat store that also has locations in Bossier City and soon-to-be Lafayette.

This location has been a hot spot for all college students who seem to be attracted to this sweet treat delight. Recently, it has been a success for both the customers and employees of the business.

They offer popular cold desserts such as concretes, custards, sundaes, malts and more. Their most popular item on the menu is the Bootlegger, a vanilla frozen custard blended with Oreos, creme caramel and hot fudge.

Assistant Store Manager Savannah Alexander explained that custard is different from ice cream and frozen yogurt. “Custard is held at a higher temperature, which makes it more creamier and denser," she said.

She added in a twist, “it is thicker than frozen yogurt, which if you add in toppings it makes it more of a luxurious treat.”

Andy’s Frozen Custard is located at 606 W Lee Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70820.
