BATON ROUGE - A new animal shelter open right here on LSU's campus has created the perfect dating service...that is, for dog lovers.
The Companion Animal Alliance have created a new program where you can take a shelter dog out on a date. It’s an exercise initiative that aims to give shelter dogs a little extra love and more exposure on social media.
"For anyone who wants to foster a dog but doesn't have the time for the long term commitment of it you can come to the shelter once a or twice a week for an hour or two. you can go to the park, socialize with it,” Amanda Pumilia with Companion Animal Alliance said.
To get involved you need to sign up for an orientation day, the next one is set for this Saturday, January 26th.
