LSU Chancellor Michael Martin named finalist for Colorado State University position

Colorado State University has named LSU Chancellor Michael Martin a finalist for the chancellorship of its three-campus system, according to an email sent to the LSU community.

Colorado State formally contacted Martin in January.

Martin said he has not recieved a formal offer. He said he will carefully consider any offer, if he does get one.

“It has been my plan to finish my career at LSU, but somtimes plans change,” Martin said.

Martin also says that he did not seek out this opportunity. He said his conversations with Colorado State are not related to the recent changes at the LSU System Office.
